Little Drummer Boy | Flamenco Spanish Guitar Version of Classic Christmas Song

Here’s a fun Spanish guitar version of the popular Christmas song “Little Drummer Boy”. In this video, you can follow along with the chord changes and, if you’d like, try to improvise your own melody.

I performed and recorded Little Drummer Boy for my Holiday CD “In The Presence of Angels”, and later it was included on “We Three Strings” along with songs from Johannes Linstead and Bryan Lubeck. For extra fun I’ve included a music minus one audio for this version. It’s the recording of all the instruments without the melody so you can jam along. In the past I’ve always sold these “jam-along tracks”, but what the heck. It’s Christmas. Get over to this web page now and I’ll let you download that for also. Oh, did I mention free – as in no charge?

I’d really appreciate it if you share this on YouTube, Facebook, etc.

In The Presence Of Angels

Along with “Little Drummer Boy” this I’ve recorded “Joy To The World”, “Hark The Harold Angels Sing”, “Away In The Manger” and 3 more classic Christmas songs with a flamenco/smooth jazz twist as well as 3 original compositions. One of my favorites is “The Journey – We Three Kings” where I’ve expanded a bit on the original theme.

In a review by Amazon top 500 Reviewer Rico he writes “It's been said that music has the ability to “sooth the savage beast”. If this is true Tomas takes it to new heights. He communicates intimately; one on one, with his listeners with music that seems to reach right into a deep, tender place. The effect is that of not only soothing the emotional beast but uplifting on a profound spiritual level as well.”
