The One Simple Thing That Makes All The Difference

I'm going to share with you a secret that I wish I had known when I was a beginner guitar player! If I had known this before, it would've saved me a tremendous amount of time, frustration, and effort.

What Would I Have Done Differently?

It all started when I sat down and contemplated the one BIG THING I would tell my beginner guitar player self.

At first it was difficult to narrow it down. There are a lot of things I wish I could have changed.

I would have gotten a better instrument,

found a better teacher sooner,

focused more on the basics.

and spent more time working on my listening skills.

These are all valid, but I wouldn't characterize any of them as being THE single most important thing I would change.

One Simple Thing

After giving it serious consideration I came up with one simple thing that would have made a big difference.

If I'd got this one thing earlier in my journey I would not only have progressed faster, but it would have been easier and more fun.
